Danish Arts Foundation special acknowledgement

‘The bike’s design deserves a place in the long history of the bike. […] The geometry has the same obvious simplicity as the classic diamond frame, but by closer inspection it shows that the frame is asymmetrical. […] The design is both bold and playful, new and classic, functional, well proportioned and intuitive’.

Monocle Design Awards 2022 Winner

Happy to announce that our Hermansen e-bike is ‘Best Bike’ winner, Monocle Design Awards 2022. Jury statement: ‘Anders Hermansen strives to create products with great function and a beautiful aesthetic allure. That’s why his ultra-compact electric bike, sold under the brand name Hermansen, is one of the finest entries into the burgeoning e-bike market.’

côte&ciel x Hermansen

We have teamed up with Parisian based design label côte&ciel and proudly present our collab e-bike ‘côte&ciel Hermansen Bike One’. The colours are inspired by côte&ciel’s SS22 VELO series (velo means bike in French), and the result is this eye-catching e-bike with Signal Orange frame, Hermansen’s signature chrome plated rear stays, a Cool Grey battery and crank arms and orange anodised details.

W.W.® Hermansen

Together with fashion brand Wood Wood we have created a special edition e-bike ‘W.W. Hermansen Bike One’ based on our award-winning e-bike. W.W. Hermansen Bike One combines Wood Wood’s traditions of creative exploration with Anders Hermansen’s keen eye for simplicity. Brian SS Jensen, the co-founder of Wood Wood, opted for a particular paint job combining khaki and army green parts with co-branding and red anodised details, referencing vintage 4×4 vehicles and outdoor gear.

Red Dot Design Award 2021

‘This e-bike reinterprets the bicycle in an original manner, its design is eye-catching, and it gives the rider a surprisingly light and maneuverable feeling.’ Happy to announce that our Hermansen e-bike is awarded the Red Dot Design Award 2021 accompanied by this jury statement.

Monocle

‘Only three things in life are certain: death, taxes and impeccable Danish design. We have our eye on Hermansen Copenhagen’s latest version of its Red Dot award-winning e-bike’.

HypeBeast

‘Taking the formula that makes the ex-Bang & Olufsen designer Anders Hermansen’s bikes so successful and combining it with the Wood Wood co-founder Brian SS Jensen’s sensibilities and aesthetical likenings, the duo has created a bike that performs on both form and function.’ HYPEBEAST about the Wood Wood x Hermansen collab e-bike W.W. Hermansen Bike One.

Highsnobiety

‘Côte&Ciel X Hermansen’s Bike One will be your bag’s favorite set of wheels […] For the city commuter, the collection is just as functional as it is eye-catching, as baggage items from the côte&ciel Spring/Summer 2022 collection fit the frame seamlessly.’

The New Order

‘Bag connoisseur côte&ciel went on to collaborate with e-bike brand Hermansen to make a one-of-a-kind ride […] Specifically designed to fit onto a bike, the orange-coloured bags from that collection rubbed off on Hermansen’s inter-city e-bike’

Uncrate

‘Creative exploration meets simplicity. The ‘W.W. hermansen bike one’ showcases all signature characteristics of anders hermansen’s sleek design, taking shape as an urban, unisex, single-speed e-bike.’ Uncrate about the Wood Wood x Hermansen collab e-bike W.W. Hermansen Bike One.

Børsen

“More and more people replace the normal bike with an electric one. But if you don’t want to be seen on an “urban” model with an enormous frame and inch-thick wheels or a classic “garden gate” with a huge battery on the luggage carrier, you have had to try hard to find one. Until now.” Børsen Pleasure about the Hermansen e-bike.

Euroman

‘Razor-sharp curation of all the best you can spend your time, money and attention on right now: Readable books, news from the restaurant scene, current podcasts, catchy movies, well-placed columns and good design […] Even before the launch of Anders Hermansen’s bike it had won the design world’s most prestigious prizes, a Red Dot Design Award.’ Euroman magazine about the Hermansen e-bike.

Politiken

‘Danish e-bike takes the design world by storm. Good design kickstarts a journey of dreams. This is the philosophy behind all of Anders Hermansen’s designs. This also applies to this lightweight version of an e-bike for which the industrial designer received the Red Dot Award earlier this year.’ Politiken about the Hermansen e-bike.
